As a self-proclaimed "meatball junkie" I grew tired of searching for the perfect meatball in Fairfield County. The balls in Italian restaurants, pizza joints and delis failed to meet my standards most of the time. More often than not, they were too bland, overcooked or fried to death, leaving me disappointed and frustrated. I began to notice meatball restaurants popping up in New York City and I was amazed there were others who carried the same passion for meatballs I did. To me, meatballs are a special food that require extra attention and commitment. Deciding to take action I needed to create another persona, one that would afford me the ability to share my balls locally. I created The Local Meatball. Spending time in my grandmother's kitchen as a kid and a desire to share what a good meatball should taste like has given me all the knowledge I need to make my own creations. My secret? I use only quality ingredients. I spend much time searching for and sourcing the freshest most flavorful products around.
