&Gravy foodtruck is owned and operated by Vicky Adams. Vicky served over 21 years in the Navy. During her time she catered military events and provided free meals to service members who worked on holidays. Since retiring, she continues to participate in feeding service members during the holidays.
Although she earned an AAS and a BA in Administrative Management, her true passion is in cooking and community service. In 2018, she attended Cornell University Entrepreneur Program for Disabled Veterans. Upon completing the program, she opened her foodtruck.
Vicky is the daughter of William Garner, owner of San Antonio’s very well known Mr. and Mrs. G’s Home Cooking who has had its doors opened and serving the community for almost 30 years. Vicky serves as an activist in the community providing snacks and meals to a local nursing home and she mentors and provide free workshops for young women.
&Gravy foodtruck debuted 15 Dec, 2019. The foodtruck serves all menu items with gravy. Beef, chicken, home style or Grachos aka southern gravy with a blend of cheeses. We also feature different flavors such as curry, ranch, bbq etc.
&Gravy serves sautéed vegetables (red peppers, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, semi dried tomatoes and jalapeños on burgers vice the traditional fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. We do offer bunless burgers on a bed of fresh lettuce.
Other than that, all menu items are served with/on Martins Famous potato rolls and bread.
Pick your burger (beef or turkey), wings, chicken strips, fries or tortilla chips. Add a sautéed vegetable...(onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, semi dried tomatoes or red and green peppers), cheese or bacon. Pick your gravy and tell us if you want it smothered in gravy, covered in gravy or get your gravy on the side.
We do modify our menu to provide smaller portions that is suitable for kids
Our menu also has a soup of the day that is served on cold days when the weather is under 60 degrees.
On occasion we serve plates: Oxtails, meatloaf, chicken fried chicken, and baked chicken
& Gravy foodtruck serves up to 25 free meals a month to military and emergency service personnel.
