Paratta offers the pure taste and exotic aura of the South Asian subcontinent. Our name comes from the flaky, buttery paratha (flatbread) that we use to wrap all our rolls. Using only the freshest of ingredients, dishes include lachha parathas, always made by hand using organic ghee; colorful slaw and chutney prepared daily the authentic way; and roll fillings made with 100% grass-fed wagyu beef, hand-cut chicken or local paneer and always marinated and smoked for 24 hours and then live grilled in the truck.
We also serve potato slices and an onion/cabbage combo deep fried in a light chickpea batter for the sides, chilled rose and cardamom lassi, mango lassi and classic plain lassi (yogurt milkshakes) as drinks and for desserts a jalebi sundae (cardamom sugar syrup-infused funnel cake with gold leaf, edible flowers and crushed pistachios with Jeni's ice cream) and falooda (a chilled milk custard drink that you can also eat with rose syrup, pound cake, basil seeds, vermicelli and also topped with Jeni's ice cream). Our entire menu is halal and made in-house at our kitchen in the Arts District DTLA. The food truck is highly decorated inspired by traditional South Asian truck art.
