Wafels & Dinges - Momma truck

Momma Truck is naturally the oldest of the bunch. She was born in May 2009 and inherited the family business from her father, Chevy the truck, who had passed away a few weeks earlier (chronic engine failure at age 41, may he rest in peace). Like her dad, she is all yellow and feisty! The wafel Gods created her with a much bigger awning, giving her a wider view of her wafel…instruments. She travels throughout the city making two stops each day making sure she gets to as many dinges as possible. She can also be found catering behind the scenes of your favorite TV shows!

Wafels & Dinges - Bierbeek cart

‪Bierbeek is the firstborn son of Momma Truck. Some would say he is the most traditional wafel cart of the family. He was named after the village of Bierbeek or Beer Creek in Belgium where the waffle guy grew up. It’s a cute Belgian hamlet laced with beautiful meadows filled with grazing cows amidst an abundance of trees. Some say it looks like the Shire in the Lord of the Rings books. The Bierbeek cart grew up roaming the streets like his mother. After hanging out in a bunch of neighborhoods throughout New York in his teenage “coming of age” months, he fell in love with Central Park.

Wafels & Dinges - Kotmadam cart

The "Kotmadam" name comes from the town of Leuven, where the waffle-guy went to school. Leuven is packed with tens of thousands of bike riding college-students from September until June. They all live in the typical brick houses in the town's narrow streets, which have been converted to dorm rooms, which they call their "kot." A "kot" is usually managed by a rather quirky lady called the "kotmadam". She is taking over her new spot as landlady of Wollman Rink. She will be there for all of your post-skating and sledding needs.
